Take A Breath For Change

Facilitator Training

This is the 10th year of presenting in schools and in the community. This training for new facilitators is an excellent opportunity to learn how to introduce these unique tools for supporting individuals and groups. You will utilize our unique methods and delivery tools that create a relaxation response to reduce or eliminate the stress response.

Help Create Change!

For all those interested in supporting mental health and optimizing performance in schools, at home and in the workplace.

The training includes;

  • foundations of breath and relaxation

  • how to build new pathways for performance and health

  • learning to present these powerful practices to a group of students, workmates, or even in your own household

In this training you will see Jeff break down his 1-hour presentation of Take a Breath for Change. He will show you the initial introduction and orientation of the BRAVE methodology (Breathe, Relax, Allow, Visualize, and Empower). The next component of the presentation is a brief description of the importance of self-regulation and managing stress. Next, you will learn how to guide participants in the first 2 components of the methodology- Breathe and Relax. Jeff will then demonstrate the deepening of the presentation as he then shares his own story- his own Hero’s Journey (moving through adversity to reach a new level of awareness and health), this is a key component that engages and empowers those listening. Finally, Jeff shows how to lead the entire BRAVE sequence, tailoring the content to the audience so they have a deep experience of potential and transformation! This is an amazing opportunity to serve your community and support mental health and wellness.

The training includes a manual with scripts and clear steps to lead all or part of the presentation. Participants will have access to foundational support tools and an understanding of how to facilitate others to access the Free content on the website. Also included is access to audio/video recordings which can be used to support a presentation. A recording of the entire weekend training will be available.

This training is offered in person (BC, Canada) with remote access available. Online remote access will be limited to 8 participants to ensure on-screen engagement and optimal communication. The training includes 20 hours of content and delivery.

What you need, and what to expect- You will be provided a PDF manual before the training, and I recommend you have a writing journal for additional notes. You will want a comfortable place to lay down and supports for comfort resting on your back for up to 30-40 minutes (i.e.; pillow, blankets, eye pillows). Also a comfortable chair, for the lecture portions.
