What is Take a Breath for Change?

An online anxiety and stress management program for groups and individuals that provides an effective and accessible platform of scientifically proven breathing and relaxation techniques.

Using the acronym B.R.A.V.E (Breathe-Relax-Allow-Visualize-Empower), participants are taught a methodology of how to:

·       create a relaxation response in the body

·       notice the effects of stress on the body

·       relax and work through challenging emotions and events

·       use imagery and imagination for growth and development

·       build confidence and resilience in facing new situations

Take a Breath is a preventative mental health initiative offering a passive formula for self-regulation.  It teaches participants how to use the breath and guided relaxation to calm the nervous system and deal with common obstacles to mindfulness/meditation practices (can’t sit still, can’t turn off the brain, increase in anxiety).

We have found the program works best when the group engages with the content in multiple ways:

We created this by introducing the 5-Days of B.R.A.V.E., each step is a short experience. The presentation begins with inquiry questions to deepen the internal health and wellness awareness of the participants.  The responses to the questions can be shared, or with the group as a whole.  The participants also create support for each other by alternating the practice of co-listening at various times in the presentation. 

In the 1-hour session, there are 3 separate guided experiences interspersed with engaging dialog and content, resulting in a collaboration within the participants.

Building New Patterns

In this 1-hour session, we are presenting the overarching therapeutic philosophy of assessing, adapting, and relating.  Those same foundational components are woven through all of the Take a Breath content and deliverables.  Therefore, the free content website will be a natural ‘take home’ after the presentation.

In-Person (or Remote) Presentation- $245 per hour

(Maximum in-person group size 60, or as space permits for resting spaciously)

 3 consecutive sessions on the same day -  $200 per hour

 Full day-  (up to 5 sessions)                  $800

Public and Private Schools and Not-for-Profit Organizations receive a 50% discount of the above-listed prices.
